| All over the United States there are things that have been left behind and forgotten. Perhaps an old family homestead in Alabama, a no longer used barn in the middle of the Kansas prairie, a long ago replaced truck or tractor on an old county road, a deserted school building, or someone’s failed business venture located along highway that has been bypassed by an Interstate. These images caught my eye as I passed by. These abandoned structures, vehicles and implements are found on back roads, along interstate highways and even in inner cities. Many of the things that I have photographed are no longer there. I have preserved these images so that, even when the building or vehicle is gone, a memory of its having existed will have been preserved. |
| Each photoprint in this collection is individually composed and printed by the artist. The photos are printed on archival paper using HP Ink. They are matted and mounted with acid free materials. Each print is sealed in the frame. No two photoprints are created at the same time and each is worked on and edited by itself. All photos are signed but, since each print is created on a one-at-a-time basis, none are numbered. Because of this technique, photoprints of the same subject matter may display differing details within pictures of the same subject. |
